In case you haven’t seen the news or been online in the last 12 hours, you may not know about the devastating tornados that ravaged middle Tennessee last night. My hand to Dolly, these tornados were no joke. As of the most recent source I’ve seen, there are 25 fatalities and hundreds of people have lost their homes.
Because I work from home, I try not to sleep with my phone in my bedroom. Last night was an exception, as my husband was at a Predators game so I had the phone in bed and feel asleep. I woke up a few times hearing hail and severe winds, but thought it was a dream. The battery on my phone died, so when I woke up I charged it a bit as I started my day.
Once I looked at my phone for the first time a while later, I realized the severity of last night’s storms.
I had received several dozen text messages, phone calls, Facebook messages, LinkedIn messages, and even a few e-mails from former clients. Thank you all for the loving outreach. My family and I are safe, but many in the area are not. As more information becomes available, I will try to share opportunities available to help. For now, please keep Nashville in your thoughts and prayers.
